COMPANY HISTORY

Steel-line is an Australian owned and operated company who are market leaders in design, manufacturing, distribution and installation of an extensive range of steel, aluminium and timber garage doors and automatic door and gate operators.

Steel-line has been operating for more than 28 years across Australia, starting as a family business and since grown to 16 national branches, with over 300 employees and over 200 distribution outlets Australia wide. We also have global representation with a presence in the UK and Saudi Arabia.

In April 07, Steel-Line was acquired by the private equity firm Crescent Capital who have an aim to significantly increase the companies operations and market share over the next few years.

Our success is driven by a commitment to our customers and the passion of Steel-Line employees. We are fortunate to have a large number of people who have been with the business since it started who are experts in their fields. This depth of experience and understanding of the products enables us to meet the individual needs of our customers.

Steel-Line's belief is that innovation is at the core of our success. We introduced many innovative products to the market, such as our unique Decro® Door range that affords home owners the look of timber with the strength of steel, at almost half the cost of true timber products. Another innovative Steel-Line product offered to the market is the “finger proof” sectional door which negates the risk of pinched fingers and provides added safety for homeowners. Special custom made doors are also available allowing our customers to incorporate their own design, colours and materials.
