The Steel-line Western Red Cedar or any Timber clad Sectional Over Head door manufactured by Steel-Line can be constructed in two (2) different ways, both frames are of a welded construction but use different size box sections, this is determined by how the timber is being fixed to the frame ie. front or rear.

OPTION 1 FRONT FIXED

The frame is a welded construction 50mm X 50mm X 2mm SHS Aluminium with a powder coat finish. Our standard colour is Satin Black however if you wish to nominate another colour in the Dulux powder coat range this can be accommodated.  On this type of frame the Timber material being used is front fixed to the front of the frame either horizontally or vertically using class 3 counter sunk screws.

OPTION 2 REAR FIXED

The frame is a welded construction 38mm X 38mm X 2mm SHS Aluminium with a powder coat finish.  Our standard colour is Satin Black however if you wish to nominate another colour in the Dulux powder coat range this can be accommodated.  On this type of frame the Timber material being used can be fixed to the front of the frame from the rear either horizontally or vertically using special timber rivets.

The timber used on our standard Western Red Cedar doors is 133mm X 12mm boards either VJ or Shiplap and are sealed with one coat Nature's Timber Oil.  Intergrain Nature's Timber Oil is a natural semi transparent penetrating oil whch contains Tung oil, a natural oil that penetrates deep into the timber for excellent durability which will not crack, blister or peel as it weathers.
